The evidence map

Where can I check an answer?

Choose what you need to check: whether a medicine is approved, who is allowed to give care, the pharmacy’s permit or where to send a complaint.

US medicine information was checked on September 26, 2026; Arizona license and complaint routes on October 3, 2026.

Where can I check medicine claims?

Custom drugs, also called compounded medicines, lack US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.

FDA’s weight-drug page warns about products marked “for research purposes,” false pharmacy names and errors in measuring medicine.

Match the full medicine name and the kind of product, such as a pill or injection, to the product information.

Which Arizona record fits the person or pharmacy?

Use the Medical Board’s search for an MD, meaning a medical doctor.

A doctor with DO after their name is an osteopathic doctor: a doctor licensed to give medical care by a separate Arizona board.

Use the Arizona Osteopathic Board’s Find your DO search for that doctor.

Use the Arizona Nursing Board’s links to Nursys to check a nurse’s license and any certificate for a nurse-practitioner role.

A nurse practitioner can assess health problems. Prescribing also needs the Nursing Board’s permission and must fit the nurse’s training.

A physician assistant, also called a PA, has a separate Arizona board with a PA Search.

A pharmacy’s permit and a pharmacist’s license are separate Arizona records.

Open FDA’s “Locate a State-Licensed Online Pharmacy” page and choose Arizona to reach the pharmacy-record search.

Ask the Arizona Pharmacy Board to confirm the pharmacy’s permit number and whether the permit is current.

Where can I take a concern?

For a concern about an MD or DO, use that doctor’s board complaint page.

The Nursing Board takes complaints about possible breaches of nursing rules.

The Arizona Attorney General has a route for consumers to report unfair dealings or deceptive conduct.

FDA’s MedWatch accepts reports about medicine problems.

A complaint does not promise money back or a set result.
